Replaced iTerm + my SSH config soup + a file manager with Symbio. The agent pane alone pays for itself — it ran a full migration across 12 hosts while I watched.

Broadcasting one command to every pane and having the agent tail logs and fix the failing service is wild. This is what a terminal should have been all along.

The Docker panel + process monitor right next to my terminals is game-changing. I can restart a container, tail its logs and push a fix in the same workspace without switching windows.

Multishell
Split, broadcast and orchestrate panes
Run local shells, remote sessions and long-lived processes in a single grid. Split panes infinitely, broadcast one command to all of them, and keep your context in view without juggling tabs and windows.

SSH
A connection manager that remembers everything
Save hosts, jump boxes and keys once, then connect instantly with live status indicators. Symbio handles reconnects and identity files so you never paste a connection string again.
Explorer
A file explorer fused into the terminal
Navigate project trees, preview files and make quick edits without leaving your workspace — across local disks and any connected SSH host. Drag, drop and sync files between machines effortlessly.
Agent
Compatible with any LLM provider — ASK, PLAN or BUILD
Describe the outcome and let the agent execute across panes and hosts. Choose between three modes: ASK for quick answers, PLAN for step-by-step proposals, or BUILD for full autonomous execution. Works with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, local models and any OpenAI-compatible provider.
I'll build a basic ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipeline in Python.
Inspect current directory
execute_powershell
Create dedicated ETL folder
execute_powershell
Generate ETL files (CSV, script, requirements.txt)
running execute_powershell…
Run the ETL to verify it works
Command
A command palette for everything
Split panes, open SSH sessions, summon the agent or jump to any file — all from one fuzzy palette. Symbio is built so your hands never have to leave the keyboard.
Skills
Bring your own LLM — coming soon
Connect any LLM provider — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, or your own — and define custom skills that Symbio's agent can execute on your behalf. Automate complex workflows across your infrastructure with the model of your choice.
Integrate any LLM provider — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, or your own — and define custom skills that Symbio's agent can execute on your behalf.
Browser
No more alt-tabbing to the web
Open any URL in a native embedded browser panel without leaving Symbio. Check docs, review GitHub PRs, preview your app — all in the same grid as your terminals and files. The AI agent can even read and interact with web content on your behalf.

Monitor
CPU, memory, storage, processes and Docker — live
Keep tabs on your machine without leaving the terminal. Symbio's built-in monitor shows live CPU charts, RAM usage, per-drive storage meters, a full process list with kill support, and Docker container management — all in dedicated panels that sit alongside your shells.

Everything you need to know about Symbio, the agentic AI terminal.
Symbio is an agentic AI terminal that unifies multishell terminal grids, SSH connection management, a file explorer, browser panels and system monitoring into one fast, keyboard-first workspace with a built-in AI agent that can run commands and manage servers on your behalf.
Symbio's AI agent has three modes: ASK for quick answers and explanations, PLAN for step-by-step proposals before executing, and BUILD for full autonomous execution across panes and hosts. It works with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, local models and any OpenAI-compatible LLM provider.
Symbio runs natively on macOS, Windows and Linux. It is a standalone desktop application designed for keyboard-first workflows.
Yes. Symbio includes a full SSH connection manager that saves hosts, jump boxes and identity files. It connects instantly with live status indicators and handles automatic reconnections so you never lose a session or paste a connection string again.
Symbio is currently available through a free early access program. Request access on this page and we'll get you set up.
Unlike traditional terminal emulators, Symbio combines a multishell grid, SSH manager, file explorer, embedded browser, system monitoring and an AI agent in a single workspace. You don't need to switch between apps — everything lives in one keyboard-first interface with a fuzzy command palette.
Join the early access program and shape the terminal you've always wanted.
